On 14 June, Nikčević & Kapor together with colleagues from the law office DLA Pipier Sweden, hosted a conference in Hotel Metropol Palace Belgrade, which marked the official launch of the SCC Rules in Serbian language.
We are glad to be involved in this wonderful initiative to translate the rules of one of the most prominent arbitration institutes in the world into Serbian, thus making the rules more accessible to domestic practitioners.
The conference was packed with attendees, showcasing the high interest and enthusiasm for the topics discussed.
The first panel focused on arbitration in Serbia and was expertly moderated by professor Vladimir Pavic, featuring thought-provoking discussions with professors Maja Stanivuković and Milena Djordjevic and, an attorney Milan Lazic from Karanovic & Partners.
The second panel, moderated by Miljana Bigović (DLA Piper), delved into the intricacies of the SCC Rules. We were honoured to have Madeleine Thörn (SCC), Karl-Oscar Dalin (DLA Piper), and our managing partner Jovan Nikcevic share their expertise.
Our associate Matija Savovic also had the pleasure to participate in the organisation of this important event and to open the conference.
The event concluded with a delightful cocktail reception, providing attendees with the opportunity to network and discuss the day’s topics further in a relaxed setting.
We owe a heartfelt thank you to all our speakers for their invaluable contributions, to our guests for their enthusiastic participation, and to our supporters – the SCC, Serbian Arbitration Association, Belgrade Arbitration Center, and the Nordic Business Alliance – for helping make this event a resounding success.
