2ND Belgrade ICC Construction and Arbitration Conference took place on January 22, 2021 and it was organized by the ICC International Court of Arbitration with the support of ICC Serbia, law firms Karanovic & Partners and Pinsent Masons and Serbian Arbitration Association. The conference was held virtually, and it gathered internationally renowned engineers, construction lawyers and arbitration practitioners and experts in the field that shared their practical experience as well as updates and developments in the arbitration world.

During the morning session moderated by Charles Blamire-Brown of Pinsent Masons the panellists discussed the suspension and termination general rules from local perspective, FIDIC and expertsperspective. Along with Jovan Nikcevic PhD, the Managing Partner of NKP Law Office, the speakers of this panel were Daduna Kohreidze of FIDIC, Hrvoje Markovinovic of Faculty of  Law of Faculty of Zagreb, Ana Lukovic of Karanovic & Partners, Miroslav Pavlovic of Eagle Hills and Nik Sekulic of Ankura.

The afternoon session was moderated by Milena Djordjevic of Faculty of Law of University of Belgrade and the attendees were able to hear the newest updates from arbitration practice – Joinder and Consolidation, Online hearings and electronic document sharing and Third Party Funding. The speakers of this panel were Urs Weber-Stecher of Wenger & Vieli, Ziva Filipic of ICC International Court of Arbitration, Milan Lazic of Karanovic & Partners, Milica Savic of Karanovic & Partners and Florian Quintard of Pinsent Masons.
